Deena Friedman is a Managing Director at Solebury Trout, an investor relations firm. Ms. Friedman advises and guides consumer and retail sector clients in their investor messaging and engagement strategies. She has been involved with the consumer and retail sectors for two decades, holding senior investment and strategy roles. Ms. Friedman previously served as a global consumer leader at Ernst & Young, guiding executive teams through strategic decision-making to position their companies to be at the forefront of current and future consumer trends. The majority of her career was spent in the investment management industry as a buy-side analyst and portfolio manager as well as a sell-side analyst, analyzing and evaluating global consumer discretionary and consumer staples companies. She worked at Fidelity Investments, Brean Murray Carret, Piper Jaffray, and Morgan Stanley. Ms. Friedman’s impressive investment performance was recognized by Bloomberg Views (named Stock Picker of the Year in 2015), StarMine and Forbes. Ms. Friedman holds Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Columbia University.
